While flying into LAX yesterday, I turned my phone back on to notice a large amount of traffic on the website. New Members and Forum Posts as well as comments all began to pour in as I entered the US customs area, ironically all of this traffic came from all over the world while I finished my first world traveling experience.
After witnessing 3,707 post all coming from different countries, at least 460 new members, comments on every post, many strange links, I finally took action tonight and secured the site. I am still cleaning up the mess a little bit, but this is an interesting learning experience and I'm happy for the opportunity to improve the site.
I'm looking forward to sharing more stories from out of town, and starting this new chapter with the next site model coming out along with stories from my first trip abroad. We've got some new connections and stories to share, as always thanks for tuning into Rhapsodic Global!
I browsed through all site members activity in the past week since the attack occurred and deleted anyone who fit a pattern that resembled bot activity. There were a couple who may have made it through the cracks, but everyone else here is all people I recognize. Sorry if legitimate members were deleted, please introduce yourself if you decide to come back!
