Suzie Q works with multiple elements to recreate various scenes of nature into artistic displays inspired by her travels and healing journey. Well known for her dragons, particularly a large and dramatic display in the Arizona desert that she meticulously crafted over 500 hours within 5 months. Dragons represent transformation and unconscious forces guarding the hidden treasures and truths within, and Suzie Q exemplifies this quite well with her Z-Crafts.
Her more recent works are as thought provoking as they are thoughtfully crafted. Paintings on textured wood grains strung up into spinning displays of flying geography free the imagination. Curiosity and wonder blend into an array of multi-dimensionality. I enjoyed discussing different interpretations of her pieces and left the experience with much food for thought. Suzie Q shared with me how making her art helps her quiet her mind enough to feel into her body and create more art.
It’s always nice to meet people who really feel into their crafts, both for the aesthetic experience of their art and for the mind opening treasures found in their expression. I’m grateful to share some examples of Suzie Q’s Z-Crafts, and to make the connection so we can keep people abridged to her upcoming projects. Contact me to inquire about purchasing any of Suzie Q’s pieces, and we’ll share updates as her art journey continues to unfold.
